THNIC Academy, in partnership with BKNIX and the Network Startup Resource Center (NSRC), successfully held the BGP Peering & IXP Workshop 2026 from May 27 – 30, 2026 at Centara Grand at CentralWorld. The intensive four-day program drew 32 network professionals from Thailand, Bhutan, and Myanmar, underscoring a joint commitment to regional capacity building.
The training focused on advanced network operations and Internet connectivity, covering key topics such as IS-IS network design, BGP operations and routing policies, network scalability, multihoming, peering best practices, and Internet Exchange Point (IXP) management.
Participants benefited from a combination of expert-led lectures and intensive hands-on laboratory sessions delivered by NSRC instructors. The training program was specifically designed to provide practical experience that can be directly applied to real-world network operations, enabling participants to enhance the reliability, security, and scalability of their network infrastructure to meet the growing demands of the Internet ecosystem.
In addition to enhancing technical skills, the workshop provided opportunities for participants to exchange experiences, build professional networks, and share operational best practices with peers from across the region.
The workshop was held alongside BKNIX Peering Forum & ThaiNOG Day 2026, one of the region’s premier events for networking, knowledge sharing, and collaboration among Internet service providers (ISPs), cloud service providers, content delivery networks (CDNs), research and education networks, regulatory bodies, and digital infrastructure leaders from across Thailand and the international community. Together, these events continue to support the development of a more robust, secure, and interconnected Internet infrastructure throughout the region.
