THNIC Academy Organized the “BGP Deployment Operations Workshop” to Strengthen Network Operations Capacity Across the Region

THNIC Academy, in collaboration with BKNIX and the Network Startup Resource Center (NSRC), organized the “BGP Deployment Operations Workshop” from 20–23 May 2026 at Centara Grand at CentralWorld, Bangkok, Thailand. The workshop aimed to enhance knowledge and operational skills in Internet network infrastructure management for network operators from various organizations in Thailand and neighboring countries, including Myanmar and Lao PDR. A total of 28 participants attended the training.

The workshop focused on both theoretical learning and hands-on laboratory exercises. Participants gained practical experience through a dedicated lab environment designed to simulate real-world Internet Service Provider (ISP) network operations, enabling them to better understand routing operations and network management practices in production environments.

The knowledge and skills acquired during the workshop will help improve the day-to-day operational capabilities of network engineers and administrators, leading to better service quality for end users. The training also contributes to improving the stability, resilience, and security of the global Internet routing infrastructure.

The workshop was held alongside the BKNIX Peering Forum & ThaiNOG Day 2026, a key regional platform for networking, knowledge sharing, and collaboration among Internet Service Providers (ISPs), Cloud providers, Content Delivery Networks (CDNs), research and education networks, regulators, and digital infrastructure leaders from across the region and around the world.
